iPhone Thoughts

I’ve had my iPhone for a couple of weeks, and feel like I can speak to the device a little bit better now. I’ve used it a great deal, taken it to two different states, and relied on it to amuse me in airports and airplanes.

I have complaints, which I will now list.

  1. Ater holding the phone up to my face, the screen is all sweaty and oily. I think this goes with out saying - perhaps we can call this an expected bug. The grime doesn’t interfere with the operation of the device, it just makes it look gross.
  2. If you e-mail me pictures, sometimes the mail app will only load half the picture. I get a big box that is tan colored where your image would be, and a few lines of your image. Sometimes. It seems to be related to how much I’ve used the browser/mail/calendar/etc…if I reboot the device, I get the whole photo.
  3. The camera is…well…better than the Razr, but not good enough. The camera requires direct and intense light on your subject. It cannot handle any amount of even implied shade.
  4. It cost too much.

There ya go. I have tons of positives to add, but will have to do that later. I’ve lost interest in the post suddenly.
